Greeting

A letter from the Executive Director, David Stanley

Having grown up in Kansas City, KS in a multi-cultural environment, this kind of work was probably destined to be something I enjoyed!  Particularly since I was blessed to experience many different cultures through my teenage and young adult years, travelling overseas on mission trips to some 15 different countries.

Through the years, I have had the privilege of helping urban kids experience the hope that comes in knowing Christ.  It has always been difficult, but it has also always been rewarding.  Whether it's leading a student in a Bible study for the first time, helping a student pray out-loud for the first time, or leading a silly game, or taking kids on my boat to go 'tubing' for the first time - there is never a dull moment in this work.

I have dedicated my life to this work now for over thirteen years and things don't seem to be slowing down.  There are always kids that need help.  Now, with my oldest son, Drew, serving with me, and with Winston's tremendous leadership, in some ways I feel like we are just now getting started!

If you have ever considered getting involved in the life of an urban young person, there is never a better time than right now.  Through our Adopt Program, you can sponsor a young person towards better opportunities and real life change.  If you are interested in volunteering with us, there is always room for drivers, help with meals, and even mentoring opportunities.

Please consider helping us today by clicking on any of the donate or volunteer buttons on this website and thank you for stopping by!

Yours in Christ,
